We were in New York over the weekend for a wedding. The wedding hotel happened to be right across the street from Ground Zero and so we had a great view of the construction from our 43rd floor room. The two squares are where the World Trade Center towers once stood and they will be reflecting pools as part of the memorial. In the right side of the picture you can see a building under construction. That is the Freedom Tower, which is up to 65 floors out of the scheduled 105 floors. It will be the tallest building in the U.S. upon completion. It is already starting to peak above most of the buildings in downtown Manhattan. After the events of last week regarding 9/11 – it was interesting to be right there all weekend. We had a great weekend enjoying the perfect New York weather and celebrating our friends’ marriage. I hope you all had a great weekend too!
