Meet Alia Wang, the pint-sized niece of designer Alexander Wang. She only comes around twice a year to attend her Uncle’s runway shows, where she totally brings it! I love all of her tiny custom versions of Alexander’s designs, such as the onyx reptile halter dress, daria combat boots and of course the studded rocco duffle bag. So adorable!

I totally want a Lucite trunk in my living room. I would love to use it to store fashion coffee table books and brightly colored throws. I’ve seen these run thousands (mainly vintage finds) but I found a reasonably priced version HERE. Adore!
How cool are these make your own abstract art kits? I really want to try my hand at one of the blue ones. You are supposed to do this with your loved one and use your bodies to create something together. Each kit comes with the stuff to make the artwork and the stuff to wash it off. There is also a kids version with all organic, non-toxic paint.

You simply roll the plastic tarp out onto the floor, place the specially treated canvas on top of the plastic sheet, pour the 4oz of specially formulated paint onto the canvas, and then use your bodies to move the paint around and across the canvas, creating a unique abstract image. Throw the disposable slippers on and walk to the shower or bath to wash each other. After your one of a kind abstract painting has dried, simply take the canvas to your local art store and have it stretched onto a frame. Or stretch it yourself by purchasing stretching bars and using a staple gun.
I recently stumbled upon Julep Nail Vernis and I think I need all of them. The bottles are so different and I’m loving all the color options. I keep all my polishes in a glass jar in a guest bathroom. They add the perfect pop of color to the counter-top. I think I need some of these to add to my collection!
Did you watch the Olympic Closing Ceremony last night? I liked the show a lot better than the Opening Ceremony, and who doesn’t love the Spice Girls?! They look amazing. Of course I was struck by the beautiful images by Nick Knight of some of the world’s most recognizable models. The September issue of Vogue has more of the images from the shoot entitled ‘Midas Touch‘, featuring all British designers. Maybe it’s just me but no one compares to Naomi and Kate — they still blow all those younger models out of the water!

I love the story behind the Moroccan Wedding Blanket. They are traditionally made by the bride’s family in anticipation of the wedding day. They symbolize fertility and good luck. They take hours and hours to hand embroider with sequins — during the hours of workmanship the bride gets a lesson from her relatives on marriage. What a beautiful result!
