do it now: free way help children!

A good friend of mine, Blair, is starting her first day as a teacher tomorrow. Blair graduated from THE University of Texas in May and enlisted in a program called Teach for America. TFA places teachers in underserved schools so those schools have a chance to improve learning and empower their students to take their education seriously. Blair moved from Texas to North Carolina where she will be teaching 8th grade English. She would really like to provide her students with a set of books – “Night” by Elie Wiesel – she has set up an account on donorschoose.org to reach this goal. Her students are not in the position to buy books and so here is where we come in:

1. watch the trailer & pledge to see the movie Waiting for Superman by going here: www.waitingforsuperman.com – once you do that, a day or two later you will recieve a ‘coupon code’ via email for $5 to pledge donorschoose.
2. with your $5 code in hand, head over to donorschoose.org and give to Blair’s classroom (<–click there for the link to her project and read all about it)

This is such an easy (and completely free to us!) way to help out children who deperately need to find their voice in the public school system. I am very proud of you, Blair! I know you will be a great teacher and your students are very lucky to have someone so dedicated.

  1. Piece of writing writing is also a excitement, if
you bee acquainted with afterward you can write otherwise it is
    comkplicated to write.

  2. A fascinating discussion is worth comment. I believe that
yyou ought to publish more about this subject, it might not be a taboo
matter but generally folks don’t speak about such topics.
To the next! All the best!!
