Cookie Baking Essentials

I can seriously whip up cookies in 10 minutes but not without help. Here’s what I use to make all my goodies!
1. Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, $399 – I got this as a wedding gift and I’ve used it a ton. It’s so easy to throw everything in and let it go to work. I know it’s pricey and if I hadn’t gotten as a gift, I’d probably buy a pair of shoes instead. Just sayin’. Check it out at Macy’s – they always have sales…seriously don’t buy this for $399, it’s always on sale somewhere.
2. Crate and Barrel Cookie Scoop, $12.95 – This makes the perfect sized round cookies. Just don’t put it in the dishwasher because it will rust.
3. Silpat, $19.99 – I really have no idea what this is…I think it’s glorified foil or PAM spray. I saw that my Mom had it and so I knew it was a good idea. All I know is I put it down before I bake anything – fish, cookies, sweet potato fries, etc. Throw it in the dishwasher and voila! I think it makes everything taste better too but that’s just me…

Make sure you try your new tools on any of these delicious cookies: Soft Sugar CookiesSoft Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies.
