Pure Barre

Today I tried out a Pure Barre class for the first time. Pure Barre is a fusion of ballet, Pilates, and weight training. It’s a full body workout and it’s intense. After 10 minutes I was shaking. Near the end my legs were shaking so violently that I couldn’t help but laugh. I felt better when I looked over at my neighbor, who looked like she took this class every day, and her legs were also shaking. I really liked the class because it was broken up into sections – arms, abs, legs, butt – after each section we stretched. I liked that there was a little downtime between each section while we stretched. I also really liked the music and caught myself zoning out a couple of times even though I was really feeling the burn. There were a bunch of bangin’ strong bodies in my Pure Barre class and so I could tell that if you put the time in, it works. Check out their locations and see if there is a studio near you…and then tell me your legs were shaking too so I feel better about myself.

    I haven’t tried it, but my friend Marni has a studio in Brentwood. That’s actually her in your 2nd picture!

    Definitely gonna call tomorrow and get more details on the one opening here. I like workouts that aren’t too much cardio, imdont like to get huffy puffy either.
