The Homesick Texan Cookbook

I’ve been following the blog, Homesick Texan, for a long time…way before she ever had a cookbook deal. Lisa Fain moved to New York City over 15 years ago and has had a hole in her heart for Texas food ever since. So, she started cooking up Texas classics in her kitchen. As a Texan who also lived in NYC, I know how she feels. There is no good BBQ, Tex-Mex, or good old fashioned Texas home cookin’ in Manhattan. Her new cookbook is full of amazing dishes, Texas style. You’ll be whipping up chile con queso, brisket, chicken fried steak, and enchiladas in no time. All this food is second nature to me, but don’t be scared if you’re not from these parts. Saddle up and try out some recipes; I promise you won’t be disappointed.
